Pacifism does not mean the gentle appeasement of violence, nor does it mean brushing conflicts aside with appeals for peace. True pacifism is the radical and intelligent self-engagement of the human for the liberation of all life energies and creative forces that are present in him. Pacifism is militancy in achieving inner truthfulness and freedom, for pacifism is the reconciliation of the human with himself.

It is the first time to be published in English. We left it in the political context in which it was written. Through this we want to show that names change, yet the underlying problems remain the same – until we discover how to solve them. How this can be achieved is what this book is all about. It is more relevant today than ever.
